     The 11U nearly captured another championship Sunday losing 9-8 via the Texas Tiebreaker to the CPYL Reds in the title game. Juan Valle 4.1 IP, 3 BB, 6 HI, 5 RU, 4 ER, K pitched very well going all the way into the 5th inning. Evan Dunn 2-3 1B, BB, RU, RBI and Christian Burke 2-3 2 1B, RU, SB both had multi hit games in the title game with Mark Vasquez, Tim Calderon, Drew Leal, and Dylan Canyon also adding hits. Sharp End defeated the Wings earlier in the day 2-0 behind the best pitching performance of the season from Drew Leal 6.0 IP, 3 HI, BB, 2 K's who threw a complete game shutout only allowing 3 hits. Evan Dunn and Drew Leal scored the only runs of the game. Late Saturday Sharp End defeated MOJO 5-4 as Dylan Canyon 2.0 IP, HI, RU, 4 K's came in to shut the door earning his first save of the season. Conner Kenyon, Drew Leal, and Evan Dunn all had hits in the game. Conner Kenyon and Frankie Hinojosa made some great defensive plays all weekend.

     The 11U was only able to play 1 game this past weekend due to bad weather. Sharp End ran their winning streak to 5 straight games with a 10-4 victory over the Lonestar Cannons. Christian Burke, Mark Vasquez, and David Castillo handled the pitching duties and kept the Cannons at bay. Sharp End collected 11 hits led by Christian Burke 3-3 3 1B, 2 RU, RBI, SB; Juan Valle 2-3 2 1B, 2 RU; and David Castillo 2-2 2 1B, RU, 2 RBI.  

     The 11U captured their first Championship of the Spring Season with a 12-5 win over the RR Vipers in the Championship of the Battle of the Bats tournament. Juan Valle pitched 3 innings for the victory and the team pounded out 12 runs on 10 hits in the title game. Drew Leal was 3-4 3 1B, RU and Mark Vasquez was 2-3 2 1B, RU, SB, 2 RBI to lead the offense. Drew Leal pitched the semi final with an 11-3 victory over Mudcats Baseball and Braeden Mulder was 2-3 2 1B, RBI, RU to lead the offense. Conner Kenyon and Frankie Hinojosa both drove the ball in the game as well. Sharp End had 9 hits in the game. On Staurday, Sharp End defeated the Five Tool Titans behind the pitching of Christian Burke and a huge game changing double from Burke as well. Mark Vasquez, Evan Dunn, Drew Leal, Juan Valle, and Braeden Mulder all added hits. In the 2nd game of the day Sharp End defeated the Four Points Vipers 12-1. Juan Valle got the win on the mound and Sharp End pounded out 10 hits. Tim Calderon and David Castillo lead the offense. Sharp End scored a total of 41 runs on 35 hits over the weekend en route to the title.

     The 11U team had a busy week coming back from Spring Break as they had a mid-week game against the 12U South Austin Dogs losing 8-7 in a close game. Mark Vasquez, Braden Mulder, Juan Valle, Evan Dunn, and Tim Calderon all had hits in the game. Sharp End then lost all 3 games this past weekend at the CTX tournament in Pflugerville. MOJO defeated Sharp End 11-0 in game 1 despite a great pitching effort from Christian Burke, then Zone Four defeated Sharp End 7-4 in a game that came down to the wire. Evan Dunn was 2-2 2 1B, RU, RBI SB, and Mark Vasquez, Tim Calderon, Keegan Langley, and Braeden Mulder all added hits. Tim Calderon had another great pitching performance going 3 innings only yielding 1 hit. On Sunday the Red Pots defeated Sharp End 15-7 in a game that saw Sharp End go ahead 5-0 in the first inning before melting down defensively in the bottom half of the first inning giving up 11 runs in the frame. Drew Leal hit a double and scored a run, Mark Vasquez scored 2 runs, and Evan Dunn scored 2 runs.

   The 11U team played hard this past weekend going 1-3 at the Diamond in the Rough tournament defeating the South Texas Heat 5-4 on a walkoff hit by Frankie Hinojosa. Connor Kenyon, Tim Calderon, and Evan Dunn all got hits in the game and Drew Leal got the win in relief. Sharp End had losses to MAC Baseball 3-2, the Sandlot Gunslingers 9-1, and the Boerne A's 16-1. 

     The 11U team went 1-2 this past weekend at the Valentine's Rumble. It was the first tournament for the team as a unit and there were several bright spots. Keegan Langley hilighted the weekend with 3 hits including a game winning single to defeat the Texas Thunder 5-4. Frankie Hinojosa added 2 hits and 5 stolen bases and Mark Vasquez added 2 hits and a stolen base. David Castillo got his first win of the season on the mound in relief and starters Drew Leal, Conner Kenyon, and Christian Burke all threw great in their respective games. Sharp End will be back on the diamond this weekend at The San Marcos Slugfest.
