College Summer Team Prospects,
We will be
playing in the CenTex Collegiate League this summer. This league consists of 7
teams (4 from Austin, 2 from San Antonio, and 1 from Katy.) Each team plays 28
games in the regular season May 28th-July12th and then there is an
NBC Regional held at Stony Point HS July 16th-19th. When we win the
league we earn a paid bid to the NBC World Series in Wichita, Kansas. When we
win the regional then we win more money for the NBC World Series. You basically
play 4-5 games per week so it is a pretty full schedule. The league is wood bat
and games are 9 innings.
As a member of
this team you will also have 2 workouts scheduled per week on Tuesdays and
Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Sharp End Athletics indoor facility.
This will be time for you to throw bullpens, hit in the cages, and workout. For
those of you that have never been to our facility we invite you to come see the
place and take a tour as well as check out our website.
Roster spots
are filling fast and a $50.00 deposit by March 21st, 2015 is all you
need to secure your spot for the summer. The total cost for the summer will be
$500.00. $50.00 is due by March 21st; $200.00 is due by April 15th;
and the final $250.00 is due by May 15th. This fee includes Sharp
End Facility access, all uniforms, field rentals, baseballs, umpires, etc.
